The best time to visit Mathura is September to November. During this time, it is neither too hot nor too cold. The skies are usually clear after monsoon, and the place offers scenic views of the surroundings.
Like most parts of India; summer season lasts here for a period of four months from April to July. This period is generally very hot, with temperatures reaching the soaring heights of 48°C and maintaining a minimum of 25°C. This season should be avoided by the travellers as the sun is harsh and heat waves are awful.
Moderate showers and a bit of humidity can be expected as July comes to an end, until September. It brings cool winds that make the environment pleasant and appropriate to wander.
Cool breeze starts from October and the temperature keeps going down gradually until January. The maximum temperature reaches 30°C while the minimum goes down to 4°C. The nights are cool and the days are comfortable.
